What Kind of Drink Are You?

You are a part Whiskey on the Rocks. You are tough and you know it. It takes a long time for people to get to know you but you wouldn't have it any other way. You don't care what people think, but sometimes that turns people off of you.
You are a part Fine Glass of Wine. You are sophisticated and refined, but also complicated and hard to deal with. Not everyone loves you, but those who do swear that you're the coolest thing since sliced bread. One of these days the people that matter will understand you. Until then, you will be sitting on your throne as the distinguished product that not everyone has the taste to appreciate.

Earthquake in Peru

As I read the news today, there has been strong earthquake in Peru. About 500 died, over 1500 casualties. It stroke mostly in cities Ica, Chincha and Pisco, where around 70% of houses are damaged.
There are some photos. This can be shocking. More news: CNN, El Comercio, Nomadlife.org.
From the emails I know, that my friends in Peru are fine. Lima has not suffered too much, but south from it was disastrous. If you're in Peru and reading, let me know how you are.

Stereoscopes

The images below when viewed in certain way make illusion of three dimensions. I made them myself. In short, to see image, cross your eyes so you actually see three images. Focus on the center one. You should see it in 3D. If you really can't see anything, google "Magic eye" and read about this technique.

28 July

¡Viva el Perú! ¡Feliz 28 de Julio!
Today is 28 July, the most important day for all Peruvians. At least for those, who feel patriotic, and Peruvians, just as we, Poles, love their country. They can whine about the poverty, about their economy, government, el Presidente, but are still proud to be Peruvian. Proud of being ancestors of brave Incas.

Today is the day, when every Peruvian will put the flag on his house, meet up with some friend, drink some pisco and celebrate the independence. Celebrate, that exactly 186 years ago general San Martin declared independence from Spain.

Already tomorrow I planned to have a barbecue. But the weather is not too stable, rainy and grey. I wonder if anybody will show up.

Train The Trainer in Romania

There is one Romanian NGO called A.C.T. (www.act.org.ro). Last year they had this seminar dedicated to starting trainers (like me). Unfortunately I couldn't apply for it. This year ACT will held 5th edition of t-t-t. This time I'm applying for sure. Why? - It's one week of training and workshops all about facilitating and training skills - International environment - It's for free! (Fee and travel costs will be covered by them) {edit} So, today I received an email. They didn't choose me. Sucks, huh?

CEPS 2007

The CEPS - Cultural Envoy Preparation Seminar.
CEPS was unusual conference. Not just the smallest one, that I've ever been. It will be one of the most memorable. I think it's because of the delegates. The advantage of small seminar is, that we all got to know everybody quite well. Not just because of the sessions. During the nights we have integrated even more :) The place in Chęciny hasn't have this kind of fun for some time now. What surprises me the most, is that much more people in AIESEC Poland are planning to go for CEED abroad. Still only 9 delegates came. Of course this conference is not compulsory. Maybe it should. I invested lot of time in preparation of CEPS. I might not have time to prepare people in my LC, if they didn't find time to come to the conference. Especially, that it couldn't possibly be closer. Still, it is worth to give 100% of yourself, even for 9 people. Why this conference will be most memorable? It was different. With 16 people the work is easier. The team gets really integrated. You get to know your delegates. Everybody gets involved. And you can feel special.

I'm famous

Why I'm always the last one to know? Someone has told me already, that she saw my picture in some exhibition, but first today I found link and saw the video from it. After we went paragliding the other day, me, Jenny and Ezekiel were hangin' out in Parque Amor, taking lots of pictures. Yes, I was in some of them. And I was surprised to see picture of me later in this competition. Maybe I should really take up modeling ? Anyway, look for yourself: photos are here (look at the 4th one), and the video can be downloaded here.

The long awaited winter finally came. Today was the first snowfall this year. So I could finally go and play in the snow outside a house.
